The Best Thing I Learned In 2015

I used to watch a lot of TV as a kid. I couldn’t get enough of it. I would come home from school and watch show after show until I went to sleep.

I understand why I did it, I was a lazy fuck who wasn’t good at sports.

But as I grew older, I slowly started to realize what a waste of time it was.

And that was only one problem. The real problem is all the brainwashing advertisements. They literally tell you what you should like and shouldn’t like, and what you should do and shouldn’t do.

True Story: When I was a little kid, I used to wish there was a way to watch SpongeBob under the covers so my mom wouldn’t know about it. 15 years later and now kids can do that!

When Everything Changed

In the 7 months before I moved to Florida, I was in full on self-improvement mode. I was going to the gym, talking to girls at the mall, going on dates, and working 40 hours a week too.

I literally had no time to watch TV, the first time in my life that I was without it. And I was really surprised that I didn’t miss it.

In those 7 months, I accomplished so much, and moved to Florida a totally different person. That was when I realized the time-wasting attributes of TV.

But that was just the beginning.

A few months after moving to Florida and starting Loser 2 Winner, the most important transformation started to take place.

I no longer cared about following the masses. I no longer cared what anyone else thought about me. I no longer did stuff just because I was “supposed” to do it.

This didn’t happen all at once, and it probably only fully came to fruition a few months ago when I dropped out of school with one semester left.

This change in mindset was the most liberating thing that has ever happened to me.

All the worries I used to have like, “OMG I haven’t had sex in a week!”

or, “It’s Saturday night I should be at the bar like everyone else!”

have vanished.

I know you guys have thoughts like that all of the time, because I was once in your shoes. I used to worry about fucking everything.

And I wish just reading this article could change that for you too, but it’s not that easy. It’s going to take some time and experience.

Here’s what I suggest:

1. Start your own self-improvement journey where all you’re doing is going to the gym, talking to girls, getting a new style, etc.

2. Cut ties with TV/Video Games/Following Sports, and friends that aren’t on the same page as you.

3. Change your environment, whether it’s a new school, or even just getting out of your parents house.

4. Start something new. Whether that be a business, a skill, a hobby, an instrument, anything. Make a goal to be the best at it.

5. Go do stuff that society wants you to do; go to college, go to the bar, get a girlfriend, break up with the girlfriend, sleep with a lot of girls, work 40 hours a week in an office, etc.

That’s pretty much exactly what I did. You will feel very different at Step 4, and then Step 5 will push you over the edge and you will see the truth.

Unfortunately Step 5 is the hardest part, because it’s about getting as much life experience as possible, to see if that’s the life you really want or not.

It might take a long time to come to that decision, or you might even like life like that, which is totally fine.

This is all about discovering yourself as a person and what you want out of life.

If you want to truly change your life and honestly not give a fuck, this is what you have to do. Don’t try to do everything at once either; accomplish each step one at a time. Make a checklist for extreme results.

The Harmfulness of Mainstream Media

Now that we’ve went through the steps you have to take to see the truth, I want to talk a little more about mainstream media.

Anything you read on the news, or watch on TV, is complete and utter trash. The media is either feeding you information to scare and control you, or to make you buy something.

The marketing guys are literally laughing in their office when they see you fight over their brand.

“Macs are better than PCs!”, “Xbox is better than Playstation!”

Ya Macs are better than PCs, and Xbox is better than Playstation, but I don’t really give a fuck if someone doesn’t agree with me.

Go on to any YouTube video or even worse, Reddit, and you’ll see a shitshow of pointless arguments.

You know why people do that? Because they’ve been programmed through the media to be loyal to a brand, and because they have nothing else to do.

Another absolutely ridiculous thing in the media is sports.

Again, from a young age, kids are programmed to pick their favorite teams, and make them the most important thing in their lives.

I was no different.

I never really played sports as a kid but I was absolutely obsessed with following them.

And I would argue to the death defending my favorite teams like everyone else did (Yankees, UConn, Patriots).

I played fantasy football too, and drafted Aaron Rodgers in 2009, the year he blew up. He led all players in fantasy points that year and propelled me to my league final where I lost by one point to a team who had Adrian Peterson. I was pissed!

Anyway, around the time I started my self-improvement journey in the beginning of 2014, my interest in sports completely vanished.

Like TV, I guess I just realized how stupid and pointless it was. How did following sports benefit my life?

When you really think about it, it’s mind-blowing that people are so committed to a uniform. People literally get killed over sports arguments.

What’s even more ridiculous is the dudes on ESPN whose job is to talk about other people. Their whole life is dedicated to watching and talking about athletes who are doing something productive.

Final Thoughts

Instead of watching TV and following sports like most people who have nothing else to do, go out and make something.

Make a life for yourself, get good at something, don’t make your life revolve around bullshit.

I want you guys to feel the liberation I now feel everyday. Scroll back up in this article, follow the 5 steps, and you can feel it too.

Gone are the nights where I felt like I had to be out drinking, or I had to be having sex.

Instead, the only thing I care about are my businesses. They are my babies and I love making them grow and helping you guys in the process.

Big things are on the horizon; catch ya next week – Brian
