What’s going on guys.
For the past 2 weeks I’ve been demotivated and thinking I needed a vacation.
My ecommerce sales have slowed significantly during the summer and left me without nearly as much work to do.
I had dedicated the past 6 months to getting good at Aliexpress/FB Ads, and it’s safe to say that I had accomplished that goal.
I then decided that I needed to take some time to recharge and do nothing.
This usually goes okay for the first few days or so, but then I get extremely bored and looking for something meaningful to do.
I think we always say that we need a vacation, but in reality, we just need something important to do that we care about.
A vacation is just a temporary lapse in reality; delaying the inevitable.
Another thing to mention is that I’ve been in Chiang Mai for 9 months in a row now. While it’s an amazing city, I don’t think that it’s optimal to live in the same place for more than 6 months in a row.
You get too complacent, and I don’t think it’s smart when trying to stay happy and productive.
If you’re not moving forward, you’re moving backwards.
When I was a kid, I used to be perfectly happy playing video games all day, but now I am addicted to doing something that matters.
If you’re reading this knowing that you’re unhappy in your same old routine, you have to make a change. Anything new will be better than complacency.
To start, it’s imperative that you make a checklist.
You always need to have a goal that you’re working on, and once you complete the goal, another goal has to follow in its footsteps.
Without goals you’re just wandering aimlessly; lacking drive and purpose.
Anyway, I’ll be moving to the Thai Islands soon to get a fresh perspective and to hopefully find more meaning in life.
There’s never enough meaningful things that you can delve into. Variety is the spice of life, and I think we’re all missing that greatly.
My best to you all – Brian
